Home Renovation Projects Underway On Buffalo's West Side

Home renovations are nothing new for Western New York's Christian Community. Every year numerous work projects are done through Breakout and LoveBuffalo outreaches by suburban churches. In conjuction with this year's Rock The Lakes, crews of believers are once again at work to restore homes on Buffalo's West Side with the help of numerous churches and Jericho Road Ministries. Daryl Boss, Director of Xertion Youth wrote this on his Facebook page yesterday,

"Today volunteers began building a wheelchair ramp for a lady that cannot get out of her home except by crawling due to polio: today volunteers finished painting the home of a couple barraged by unemployment and sickness and as a result they both accepted Jesus as their Savior; today a home was sided by volunteers whose homeowner is neither physically or financially able to do it; today the materials were delivered for a roof project that will begin tomorrow for a pastor whose wife died of cancer 3 years ago and he has had three back surguries in the last 3 months; today a home was painted by volunteers for a woman whom had heart surgery a month ago; today 2 porches were built by volunteers for 2 young men that have committed their lives to helping others and were in need of assistance; today there were more projects that I have not listed yet, completed by volunteers. Where did all this happen, you say? On the west side of Buffalo. So I ask you, what did you do today? What are you doing tomorrow? I know hundreds of volunteers that are going to make a difference, that are going to change someone's life, perhaps forever. If you want in join us at 184 Barton St. in Buffalo, NY. We are there through Saturday."
