$20,000 Raised for Buffalo City Mission

The Buffalo City Mission hosted its sixth annual “Motorcycle Run for the Homeless” last Saturday with more than 125 motorcyclists on a 50-mile trek through Niagara County. In total, the event raised over $20,000.

Bikers rode to raise funds for the children’s after school program at the Mission and ended in celebration at Gratwick Park in North Tonawanda.

“This year’s motorcycle run was a tremendous success,” said Aubrey Calhoun, Director of Cornerstone Manor, Buffalo City Mission. “Each year this event continues to grow and attract more enthusiastic men and women who help us to raise many needed dollars for the children we serve.”

Individuals who were unable to attend the event can donate online at,www.buffalocitymission.org.

The Buffalo City Mission would like to thank its corporate sponsors, which include GEICO, National Grid, Corfu-Darien Veterinary Clinic, Just Pizza, Greek To Me Restaurant, Mix 104.1, 103.3 Edge, and 97 Rock for their continued support, and the Niagara County Sheriff's Department for ensuring the safety of our motorcyclists during Saturday’s event.
